RETURN POLICY

Thank you for your purchase. If you wish to return your order, the terms below apply. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

Quick return steps

  1. Email us first: Send your order number + items to return to hello@sunnytent.com. We’ll send a Return Form (RMA) and instructions.
  2. Pack it well: Return the item clean, dry, complete, and securely packed. Add the Return Form to the box.
  3. Choose your return shipping option:
    • You book it yourself (standard), or
    • We book it for you (optional) — shipping costs are deducted from your refund, unless the return is due to our error.
  4. Send to: SunnyTent, Ladonkseweg 8, 5281 RN Boxtel, The Netherlands.
  5. Share tracking: Email the tracking number to hello@sunnytent.com.
  6. Inspection & refund: After receipt and inspection, we process your refund per this policy.

1) Who this policy applies to

This Return Policy applies to consumer purchases made via our website. If you purchased as a business customer, different rules may apply.

2) EU/EEA & UK: Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-off period)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the United Kingdom and you purchased via our website, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after the day you (or a person you designate) receive the goods, without giving any reason.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

To withdraw, you must notify us in writing within the 14-day period (email is sufficient) at hello@sunnytent.com, stating:
  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • Your name and email address

After notifying us, you must send the goods back within 14 days.

Return shipping costs during withdrawal

During the withdrawal period, you are responsible for organizing and paying the return shipment, unless (i) the return is due to our error (see section 6), or (ii) we failed to inform you of this obligation before purchase.

Refunds for EU/EEA & UK withdrawals

If you withdraw lawfully, we will refund:

  • the purchase price, and
  • the cost of standard outbound delivery (if you paid for premium/express delivery, we refund up to the standard delivery cost).

We process refunds within 14 days after we receive and inspected the returned goods.

3) US, Canada & Rest of World: Voluntary Returns

Outside the EU/EEA & UK, return and cancellation rights can differ by country/state/province.

To keep things simple, SunnyTent offers a voluntary 30-day return window from the date of delivery for most items, unless local mandatory law provides a longer period.

  • You must notify us within 30 days of delivery via hello@sunnytent.com
  • After approval, you must send the goods back within 14 days

Important: In the US there is generally no federal “cooling-off” right for standard online purchases (the FTC cooling-off rule mainly concerns certain off-premises/door-to-door sales). This 30-day window is therefore a commercial policy, not a statement of statutory rights.

4) Return conditions (all regions)

Returned items must be:

  • complete (all components, accessories, manuals),
  • clean and dry,
  • undamaged and in a re-sellable condition, and
  • properly packaged to prevent transit damage.

Packaging: Please use the original packaging where reasonably possible, and ensure the shipment is securely sealed (transparent tape recommended).

If items are returned used beyond what is necessary to inspect the product, we may apply a reasonable deduction reflecting diminished value.

5) Return procedure

Step 1 — Request a return (RMA)

Email hello@sunnytent.com with:

  • your order number, and
  • the item(s) you wish to return.

We will send you a Return Form (RMA) and practical shipping instructions (including customs guidance for non-EU returns).

Returns sent without prior contact/RMA may be refused or delayed.

Step 2 — Pack your return

Returned items must be complete, clean, and dry, and packaged securely to prevent transit damage. Please include the completed Return Form in the box.

Step 3 — Send the return to our warehouse

Option A — You arrange the return yourself (standard option)
You book and pay your own carrier and send the parcel to:

We strongly recommend a trackable and insured service. The return remains your responsibility and risk until it is received at our warehouse.

Option B — SunnyTent books the return for you (optional service)
If you prefer, SunnyTent can book the return shipment on your behalf. In that case:

  • the return transport costs will be deducted from your refund (from the amount paid for the returned products); and

  • for international returns, any import-related charges caused by how the return is shipped or declared may also be deducted (see section 7), unless the return is due to a SunnyTent error.

Step 4 — Share tracking

Email your tracking number to hello@sunnytent.com

6) Defective, damaged-on-arrival, or incorrect items (SunnyTent at fault)

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible at hello@sunnytent.com with your order number and clear photos.

If the issue is attributable to SunnyTent (e.g., wrong item shipped, manufacturing defect, transit damage on arrival), we will offer a suitable solution such as a replacement, repair, or refund.

Return shipping support

  • If SunnyTent is at fault: We will cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs, where applicable under consumer law.
  • If the return is not due to a SunnyTent error: You are responsible for organizing and paying the return shipment.
    However, if you prefer, SunnyTent can book the return shipment for you. In that case, the return transport costs will be deducted from your refund (i.e., from the amount paid for the returned products). Any customs charges incurred due to how the shipment is booked or declared may also be deducted (see section 7).

7) Customs, duties & import fees for international returns (non-EU shipments)

If you return goods from outside the EU, you are responsible for ensuring the return is shipped in a way that does not cause SunnyTent to be billed for:

  • import duties, import VAT, brokerage/handling fees, or similar charges.

Practical requirement: Ship returns with duties/taxes prepaid by the sender (DDP) or otherwise arranged so SunnyTent is not charged.
If a carrier or customs authority charges SunnyTent any import-related costs, we may:

  • refuse the delivery, or
  • deduct those costs from your refund.

Note: Any import taxes/duties you paid to your local authorities upon delivery are generally not refunded by SunnyTent; you may be able to reclaim these from your carrier or customs authority depending on local rules.

8) Refunds (general)

Once received, we inspect the return. If accepted, refunds are processed to the original payment method within the timelines described above (section 2 for EU/UK; otherwise within 14 days after acceptance).

Deductions

We may apply a deduction if the return is:

  • wet/dirty,
  • damaged,
  • incomplete (missing parts/accessories), or
  • returned in a condition that prevents resale.
