Pool Domes

A pool enclosure or pool dome is the perfect way to keep your pool clean and warm. You simply place it over your above-ground pool like a dome. This eliminates the need for a heat pump, making huge savings in both purchase and electricity costs. The SunnyTent is universal for all pools, including Bestway and Intex pools.

A SunnyTent is essentially a dome that you place over the pool. Compared to other alternatives, it is a cost-effective pool cover, but it also offers many other advantages.

  • Keeps the Water Clean

Almost everyone with an above-ground pool in their backyard encounters the same problems. Namely, that the pool water gets dirty. Leaves, insects, and bird droppings can end up in the water. You end up cleaning the pool more often than actually enjoying swimming. With a pool dome, you cover the pool, preventing any dirt from entering. This saves a lot of cleaning time. You can also leave your above-ground pool in place during the winter.

  • Keeps the Water Warm

With the SunnyTent pool tent, you can enjoy the pool season for even longer. The tent fabric is made of a foil commonly used in horticultural greenhouses. In these greenhouses, the temperature is around 25°C from April to September due to the sun heating the greenhouse. The same happens with our pool covers. This helps warm up your pool without additional energy costs. You can enjoy a clean and warm pool in both spring and autumn.

  • Affordable Alternative to a Heat Pump

To heat a pool, many people purchase a heat pump, which can be expensive. Additionally, these devices often consume a lot of energy, leading to extra costs. With SunnyTent as a pool cover, you can heat your pool sustainably and keep it clean at the same time.

  • Protection Against Various Weather Conditions

The dome you place over the pool also protects it from nearly all weather conditions such as wind, rain, and light hail. You can continue swimming under these circumstances. The SunnyTent offers protection against many weather conditions, but be cautious with the sun. The pool tent itself is UV-resistant, but it still lets UV rays through. This means your skin is not fully protected, although there is some reduction in the intensity of the rays. So, make sure to apply sunscreen.

  • Available in Various Sizes

The SunnyTent is available in different models and sizes. We have a suitable cover for every pool. The round pool cover is especially suitable for round and smaller rectangular pools, while the oval pool cover is ideal for longer and larger pools. You can also opt for a rectangular pool tent. Check our size chart to see which pool cover fits your pool or jacuzzi.

  • High-Quality Construction

The SunnyTent pool tent is made entirely from European materials. The fabric is made of eight-layer PE foil, which is fused into one piece. This thick foil is also used in professional horticulture. The poles are made of 12.7 mm thick, strong fiberglass. Since the poles are made of fiberglass, they are slightly flexible and can bend. Need to replace a part? Which Cover Fits Your Pool?

Wondering which pool cover is best for your pool? And what should you pay attention to? Or are you looking for a jacuzzi cover? Below are some tips to help you choose the right size SunnyTent.

  • The SunnyTent needs space. Ensure at least 25 cm of free space around the tent and at least 40 cm at the back (for opening the tent).
  • Base your measurements on the outer dimensions of your pool and measure the maximum possible distance.
  • Does your pool have an edge, skimmer, or other protruding parts? Include this in your measurements to ensure they fit in the SunnyTent.
  • If your pool is not listed in the size chart, choose a slightly larger pool size from the chart. Need help? Contact our customer service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a SunnyTent?

A SunnyTent pool dome is a type of cover designed to enclose and protect an outdoor swimming pool. It is essentially a transparent dome-shaped structure that can be placed over a swimming pool to provide a range of benefits. Here are some of the benefits of using a SunnyTent:

  • Extended Swimming Season: The primary benefit of a pool dome is that it extends the swimming season. By creating a controlled environment, it helps to keep the pool water warmer, allowing you to use your pool earlier in the spring and later in the fall.
  • Increased Water Temperature: The dome's transparent foil allows sunlight to enter and trap heat, raising the water temperature inside the pool. This can reduce the need for heating systems, saving on energy costs.
  • Reduced Maintenance: A pool dome helps keep leaves, debris, and insects out of the pool, reducing the amount of time and effort required for cleaning and maintenance.
  • Energy Efficiency: By using the SunnyTent, the pool water is heated naturally. No more need for gas heaters and no more heating costs.
  • Aesthetics: Pool domes can enhance the appearance of your pool area, making it a more attractive and inviting space.
  • Weather Protection: A pool dome provides shelter from wind and rain, allowing you to use the pool in less-than-ideal conditions.

Can the SunnyTent be installed on a hard surface?

Yes, the SunnyTent can indeed be placed on a paved or hard surface. However, it's important to ensure that the SunnyTent is securely anchored to the ground using a hard surface installation kit. To determine if you require this kit and for detailed guidance on installation on a hard surface, please refer to the provided manual.

Does the SunnyTent really work that well, and how is it possible?

Heating Your Swimming Pool with the SunnyTent:

Yes, the SunnyTent is highly effective at heating your swimming pool. From mid-May to the end of August, it is common for the temperature inside the tent to rarely drop below 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Consequently, the water temperature typically reaches 77 degrees or higher during this period, all without the use of additional heating equipment. Please note that the actual temperature achieved depends on the climate and environment in your specific location.

How the SunnyTent Works:

The SunnyTent operates on the same principles as a greenhouse. In horticultural greenhouses, the interior temperature is typically much higher than the exterior temperature, especially during the mentioned period. Several factors influence how quickly the water heats up in the SunnyTent, including:

  • Sunlight: The more sunshine, the warmer it becomes inside the SunnyTent, leading to faster water heating.
  • Water Volume: The quantity of water and its initial temperature also play a role in the heating process.

To better understand the average temperature achieved in the SunnyTent, you can review the measurements taken by our customers, providing real-world insights into its effectiveness.

How do I set up the SunnyTent?

Setting up the pool dome varies slightly depending on the size of your SunnyTent. Larger sizes, such as the XL, have additional poles and specific instructions for double-pole placement. For detailed instructions tailored to your specific pool dome size, please refer to our instruction videos and manuals. In general, the following steps apply to all pool dome sizes:

  1. Place Locking Pegs: Arrange two locking pegs in a straight line, ensuring they are spaced at the correct distance from each other. This distance may vary based on your specific tent size.
  2. Replace Locking Pegs with Hinged Anchors: Replace the two locking pegs with hinged anchors, driving them straight into the ground until the pins make contact with the ground.
  3. Unfold the Tent Foil: Lay out the tent foil on the ground. Insert the poles into the connectors, ensuring they fit into the corresponding tunnels for each section of the foil.
  4. Position the SunnyTent: Place the SunnyTent between the two hinged anchors. Set the pole sets on the pins of the hinged anchor, making sure they are fully placed over the pins.
  5. Raise the SunnyTent: Lift the SunnyTent upward until it forms a complete circle. To evenly distribute the tent foil between the poles, gently shake the tent both horizontally and vertically.
  6. Secure with Twisting Pegs: Use twisting pegs to firmly secure the tent in place. Be cautious to avoid damaging the foil during this step.
  7. Attach the Guy Line: Attach the guy line and open the SunnyTent.
